Traveler rating. Hotel class. Better than nothing I guess. Free welcome drink too, at a bar with literally has 3 tables and zero customers but whatever.
If it's at around on a non-Saturday, it's worth it. Free Wi-Fi internet that doesn't seem to limit the number of devices per room. Sheraton Macau was a surprise to me.
I am the type who reads hotel reviews first before I book. I chose the Club King with Lounge access because buffet breakfast is included just being practical.
Fortunately, it also comes with an afternoon snacks and evening cocktail which for me is a big big plus.
When we entered the lounge, we were greeted and attended to immed When we entered the lounge, we were greeted and attended to immediately by one of the hotel staffs great job Alfie Rocamora.
Staff like him is an asset to the company, very efficient so our check in was fast. Everything was explained, he knows what the guests need to know.
We were able to check in at pm and was allowed to check out 1pm the following day i have never experienced this with other 5 star hotels in Macau We were also upgraded to a Cotai View room what more can you ask for?
The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was really nice. Outdoor pools are beautiful but the weather wasn't good at that time.
Temperature was still cold 19degrees so we were not really able to enjoy, we just took pictures of the surroundings. I highly recommend this for the quality of the hotel and staff performance as well as the value for money.
Overall, it was an excellent stay! The treatment received at his hotel was outstanding. At a price very competitive with other hotels in Macau, we had first class treatment, including welcome drinks in hotel club lounge on hightest floor, free minibar, items, welcome fruit, very clean, renovated rooms in this downtown Macau hotel.
Excellent breakfast buffet was included. Only problem were the taxi dri Only problem were the taxi drivers in Macau, including the taxis parked right outside the Emperor, who wanted to charge several times the meter rate to go anywhere.
Even taxis on the street seemed to avoid wanting to pick up foreigners. We saw other tourists who taxis would not stop for on the streets, even at marked taxi stands.
After cross ferry from HK to Macau, hotel has shuttle bus from port to hotel but have to cross the underground to the other side.
Hotel has the shuttle bus service between the port and hotel every 15 - 20 mins which is quite convenient. The hotel is located near the tourist spot which is within walking distance which is quite nice but the surrounding is not very plea The hotel is located near the tourist spot which is within walking distance which is quite nice but the surrounding is not very pleasant as the building around the hotel are old and not nice.
The hotel building from outside look quit plain comparing to other hotel which are more colourful with other gimmics.
The room was good and interior was quite nice. Casino looks a bit small and not as exciting as others. Traveling from hotel to other hotels in Macau is convenient as we can take shuttle bus to the port and use other hotels' shuttle bus to go to visit other hotels.
A very classic hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. They serve free buffet breakfast and have in-room dining service if you wish to have supper late at night.
Price consider reasonable if you compare with other hotel in Macau. The location is in Taipa which is a newer town of Macau.
They have free shuttle service but only once every hour. I find using their local bus I find using their local bus service is very difficult as the bus driver are not that friendly.
However, the bus will have some sort of announcement display in screen to show the next destination stop. Bus fare are cheap.
In the end we choose Taxi since it is faster and more convenient. They follow meter rate. Consider cheap as Macau is actually a very smaill Island.
Book here if you dont want to crowded places like in the cotai strip. They have shuttle buses going to the cotai strip, airport and barge terminal.
I really recommend this hotel if you want to relax in Macau after a busy day having tours and sight seeing.
There is no close convenience store but there is a local grocery store right after the tunnel. Our trip to Macau was a gamble of sorts. We were a group ofunlikely tourists - 4 elderly family members and an active four-year-old childinclusive.
We booked the hotel online via Agoda based solely on gut instincts. The night before arrival, I we The night before arrival, I went onlineand saw that the hotel was undergoing renovations; I spent a sleepless night worryingabout our hotel choice.
We were checked in by a hotel staff who spoke interesting Cantonesewith a Macanese dialect. Our requests were attended to though the staff did notcome across as naturally friendly.
But we had the opportunity to meet otherstaff who were more helpful and friendly during our stay. One particularreception staff did not only speak fluent English but gave us veryhelpful recommendations for eating places.
He went to the extent of searchingonline and sketching simple maps for us. Having been warned by friends that hotels in Macau and HongKong were not really something to look forward to, we were pleasantly surprisedby the ambience of the hotel no sign of renovation , cleanliness of the rooms, the facilities, as well as the understated elegance of the place.
We had agreat stay and the bet did pay off — for a reasonable price, we got quite agood deal. They upgrade our room from Deluxe into Suite, because they have full book room on thats date.
Receptionsit very helpfull and tell us about how we can go to tourism destination in Macau, and they provide us with Macau maps.
There is shuttle bus cooperate with Galaxy Hotel bus so we can go to another place for free. Room is big, very clean, and so many free minibar.
Thank you Broadway, if I comeback to Macau I will stay at this hotel again for sure. Booked a 3-person room. It is big and quite clean.
This is one of the cheap hotels in Macau. Walking distance to senado square and St. Paul, and the bus stop is just right outside the hotel.
We used bus 26 to get to the airport. If you wish to experience the old Macau environment, this is your choice.
My family and I had a wonderful stay at Sintra Hotel. It has a perfect location, various tourist attractions and casinos like Grand Lisboa and Wynn are within walking distance.
The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The staffs at the front desk and concierge are friendly and helpful. I had no problems with my check in.
The free WIFI password was given upon che The free WIFI password was given upon check-in. I would also like to thank the Assistant Manager there who patiently shared with me everything about Macau - the attractions, transportation, things to buy, and most importantly the nice food!
We took the bus from Macau Ferry Terminal to right in front of the hotel. There is also free shuttle bus to City of Dreams from there you can also walk to the Venetian Macau and the famous street, "guan ye jie".
In conclusion, I highly recommend this hotel to those who are looking for a hotel in Macau with good value for money! We spent new years eve at the Conrad and our room had the most spectacular view of the New Years Eve countdown from across the Venetian.
Room was big and very nice. With Ipad docks and Nespresso machines. We even have complimentary candies and stuffed We even have complimentary candies and stuffed toy upon check in Good reasonably priced restaurants in the casino floor as well.
Nice quiet lobby relative to other more crowded Macau hotels. Actually, the hotel is in the middle of everything.
The hotel is very close to Ferry station, and around the hotel there are plenty of restaurants, 24h supermarkets, and in the really next door to tree lamp quarter where u can buy original clothing designer in macau.
Hotel is a bit worn, hence, room and air condition system could be renewed. But the room is kept clean But the room is kept clean. Sofar depends on the price one pay, it is worth the money staying there.
While I have read that most staffs could not speak english, but I just have experience the opposite site. Every times, I was talking with staffs at check in counter.
They can speak english. The place is strategically located in the heart of the old town and just a few minutes walk to the famous attractions and good eateries.
The room is spacious and with quality amenities. The only down side about this hotel is that there is no in house cafe, the cafe next door where they serve your complementary breakfast is quite a disappointing one.
So it's best not to So it's best not to opt for breakfast being included with your room stay, you can get really nice meals for reasonable price just a few streets away.
The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Overall it's a place worth your pennies if you're into seeing the heritage side of Macau! This is my third stay in this hotel and going to make it my regular hotel in Macau.
We were upgraded and got rooms facing the race course, hills and sea. The rooms are great, big and clean with comfortable beds. The Chinese restaurant on the 2nd floor serves good food and reasonably priced too.
The restaurant staff are probably the most polite people we met in Macau. There are supermarkets and local eateries behind the block.
Buses and taxis can be found beside the hotel for easy transportation. My other half and I stayed last weekend at the Banyan Tree Macau.
After running around and seeing other hotels I'm a travel agent I think we were staying in the best Macau has to offer. Wow, our room was massive with a long pool that ran the length of the lounge and bedroom.
A therapy room with a massive spa tub and in the bathroom a great barral like japanese tub an A therapy room with a massive spa tub and in the bathroom a great barral like japanese tub and they even provide the bath salts filled daily to relax in the tubs.
The bed was comfy and the brekfast was great. The bathroom products are fab and they give you a great little bathroom bag.
In terms of location, it's in the newer part of Macau, at the Galaxy Complex 10min from the airport, free shuttle avail.
The historic part of macau is over the bridge but they provide free shuttles to take you all over the islands and other hotels so easy to get around.
We found most people did not speak great english but the hoel staff are all fine and very easy to understand. They are also so attentive and friendly, thanks for making our stay fab.
I would recommned this hotel to anyone who can splash a little cash for a lux stay. Like I said, i am a travel agent and have had the privildge of staying at some of the best hotels in the world and Banyan Tree Macau makes my top 10 list.
I've stayed in several hotels in Macau from over several years as the prices have inflated rapidly , and even compared to the bigger, more famous hotels, Beverly Plaza offers great value.
It is now my go-to hotel whenever I go to Macau. The rooms are clean and have that Mediterranean maritime charm fitting to Macau's colonial history.
The staff are welcoming The staff are welcoming, accommodating, and helpful, the location is right near some of the top local attractions, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby.
We like the room, it clean and comfort. The bathroom also nice and well done designed. The location is not really good, it's not really near to the center of attaction, however booking a taxi in Macau is cheap as Macau is consider as a small city.
The receptionist and staff were helpful and understand english well. By far our best weekend stay in Macau. Hotel is located just at the outskirts of Cotai strip removed from the hustle and bustle of the city.
However the hotel provides a shuttle bus that ferries guests to the major tourist destinations and casinos. Splendid combination of the excitement of Macau with the peace and quiet of the country side.
The hotel staff was truly am The hotel staff was truly amazing with a warm service that radiates out of sincerity. We had a great stay and would definitely be coming back again!
We loved our stay here. The room looks so much bigger and better in person. The value is so cheap compared to other hotels in Macau. Plus, the location is really near senado square and ruins of st paul.
The grand lisboa is also walkable about 10 mins walk. We rode the free bus from the airport to grand lisboa and walked to home of macau.
Its also a treat to see the back streets of macau. You could really see how they live there. Its also safe and clean!
We stayed with Happy Family Hotel for our overnight connection in Macau. The hotel was located in the center of downtown Macau, providing great value for money if some beds for the night are all one's looking for.
The rooms are tiny, which I believe is the norm for every other hotel in Macau, but apart from that one could hardly find any flaws with this hotel.
It is suitable and best choices for bagpacker. My personal share view about Macau is: Macau is a Chinese and Spanish culture city, especially old local building, historical building, Old Roman Catholic church, old Chinese temple, entry ticket is very cheap MOP 10 to see Panda in Macau City unlike in China the entry ticket is RMB and above, plus most of the tourism places in Macau city does not need entry ticket including museum.
Regarding gambling places, most of these places are free entry, beautiful and elegant designed, especially The Venetian is the best and worth to visit in evening 5PM.
Chinese people in Macau is very nice, helpful, and civilize, but if you are able to speak cantonese to them, they are even willingly and helpful to you.
Merely bus in Macau not really covenience sometimes although is cheap, easily get confuse, and taxi in Macau is espensive. Macau City is a nice place to visit although its small.
The location of the hotel was an amazing surprise to me. I had been looking for a good inexpensive hotel in Macau and i found one on agoda.
Even then I was sceptical of the price and where the hotel is located. Sometimes what is advertised is not what it really is.
However, it wasnt the case here. Getting to the hotel after 9pm and discovering how central the location o Getting to the hotel after 9pm and discovering how central the location of the hotel is a surprise to us.
Then upon checking into the room, we were pleased that the room was clean and newly decorated, on the 9th floor.
It was great to have such a nice room after a day of travelling. The locality of this hotel enables us to make it a focal point of our walks around the area.
The hotel being in the central area, is always busy and it enables me and my partner to walk around in the wee hours of the morning, with no worries on when the last bus to the hotel is, as all is within walking distance.
The staff were also very helpful with directions and other information. It was a very very memorable trip to Macau and of the stay at Metropole Hotel.
Moreover, October 1st was my birthday, and being able to celebrate it for the 1st time in China in conjunction with its 60th anniversary, and being in Macau for the fireworks competition between Hunan and Austria on that same day, was a real treat for me.
We are planning our trip back to Macau and to this same hotel for !! The outlook of the hotel may not be as impressive as those of a five star hotel, but it still is quite presentable.
Most importantly is the clean spacious room and bathroom that the money brings you. If you are looking for a quiet, clean and homely place to spend a holiday in Macau with your beloved, you will like it here.
Most star hotels in Macau either operates casi Most star hotels in Macau either operates casinos that makes the lobby rowdy with gamblers or those not having casino may not have such a convenient location.
Shopping and most historial attractions are with walking distances. Lots of local food available nearby. Stayed here for one night in August. Check in time is but I arrived about 9AM.
They were fully booked for the previous night but was able to get a room ready for me in less than an hour. Everyone there was very friendly.
Breakfast was good, room service prompt. The hotel has a modern design. The rooms are comfortable and large. The shower is spacious as well The shower is spacious as well.
Highly recommend it. Perfect location! It was just a few minutes' walk away from the major tourist sites - Ruins of St. Paul and Senado Square. From our hotel, we were also able to walk to Wynn Macau where we boarded the free shuttle going to Wynn Palace in Taipa.
They also have shuttles to the ferry terminals and airport. Information would be on their website. The Tomato Portuguese resta The Tomato Portuguese restaurant where we had our best meal in Macau was also just around the corner.
The double room is a bit old but it was clean and large enough for 2 people. It does not feel cramped at all - very spacious. If you prefer to have coffee first thing upon waking up, do bring some instant ones since they do not offer complimentary coffee.
Also, be ready for a MOP deposit and they will return this upon check-out. We stayed in the hotel just to sleep. Friendly people are around.. Its history cause have its own tourist attraction places compared with other country and also Macau tower worth to visit.
It has casino, shopping place and some nice shows. Also its shuttle bus routes cover mostly macau.
